Liz Earle vs No.7 Dupe

 So I am running low on my Liz Earle cleanser and times are a tad tight at the moment so I wanted to see if there was anything out there which was as good or within the league of Liz Earle. I had seen this No7 cleanser on a few peoples blogs and most people said that it was as good as Liz Earle and I wanted to test it out myself. Luckily I had a No7 voucher for £5 off which Boots tend to give away sporadically throughout the year.

LIZ EARLE: It has naturally active ingredients containing rosemary, chamomile, cocoa butter and eucalyptus essential oils. It cleanses and gently exfoliates which removes make-up even clears my Benefit They're Real Mascara (which is a bugger to remove). I have quite sensitive skin and it doesn't irritate me even my eyes are fine which are my worst areas.

NO7: It contains cocoa seed butter. It is hypo-allergenic which is why I went for this because I have sensitive skin. It is suitable for all skin types. I find that is doesn't particularly clear all my eye make up and I tend to find that I use my Liz Earle Muslin cloth as the one which they supply is too harsh on my skin and it leaves it too red for my liking. I will continue to use up this bottle but not 100% sure if I will repurchase. 

Liz Earle is my overall favourite at the moment, I have recently purchased the Nspa Hot Polish and Cleanse and I am excited to try that one out and will keep you posted on how it competes. :)

Rimmel Lip Tint 300 Perpetual Plum

I'm a big sucker for advertisement and packaging. I get told frequently by friends and family that I impulse buy products due to whether they have a 'cool' advertisement campaign or whether I love the packaging. Now I'm not saying that the Rimmel 1000 Kisses Lip Tint had the best advertising or packaging but after watching copious amounts of Made In Chelsea on E4 whereby at every ad break that I remember they showcase the product. 

That's how I went about buying the product, Rimmel 1000 Kisses Lip Tint costs £6.99 from Boots. Before making the jump for the purchase I went into Boots at Bluewater before I had work and swatched different shades of this product on the back of my hand then after my 6 hour shift they were still there and that impressed me. I picked the colour 300 Perpetual Plum, which is a pink shade with slight purple undertones. 

For the first couple occasions of wearing it I loved it and didn't realise for a while that at the opposite end of the stick there was a lip balm. The product was quite drying on the lips and the balm takes away that effect which makes it look better. However, with the lip balm it makes the stain not last as long as it does without. 

The problem with this product is that I really want to love it and because the colour is great and it smells like plums too, which is a double bonus for me. There are other doubts like it is quite drying for my already dry lips and you need to make sure the pen lid is firmly on. I have had this product for about a month now and I have only used it on several occasions and have realised that the pigmentation of the stain has faded which is a bit of a bummer. Although it is only £6.99 so for the price the product you get is definitely worth that money and is good if you are in a situation where you can't touch up your lipstick. 

Has anyone got any tips on how I could get my pen working like new again?

No.7 Vital Brights Lipsticks

These No.7 Vital Brights Lipsticks are GREAT, a million times better than any of the lipsticks that No.7 have brought out. When I first saw them in Boots, my friend Meg convinced me to pick the Blossoming Pink shade out of the two. I only had one No.7 Voucher so I had to pick one, on the plus it brought my price down from £10 to £5. Bargain! Then when I went to get the Blooming Pink, it was sold out and I only found it up in Putney after uni one day. 

Blossoming Pink, is my new everyday lipstick and the Blooming Pink is a girly girl pink. These lipsticks are as pigmented as the look as a stick. They smooth on and nourish the lips and feel as though they have an essence of almost being like a lip balm. I keep pulling funny fish faces to smell the lipsticks as it is vanilla, and it's lush even if I do look silly doing it. 

Has anyone tried the new No.7 Vital brights collection? I think I might check out the blushers next. 

No.7 Iced Mocha Nails

I loooove when Boots gives out their £5 off No.7 vouchers. I personally think that No.7 products are over priced so when they have £5 off it's then the price I would pay. This is a recent buy of mine and I love this colour. I am very into the nude nail trend and this colour isn't as gold as it looks in the bottle. The nail varnish is quite thin and runny so you'd need to apply two coats but when on my nails is comes out quite pinkish. But I LOVE this colour :)

Charles Worthington Mineral Hair Rescue

I love Sunday's. They are my favourite day of the week, it is nothing like having a busy week then it comes to Sunday and I just chill. My usual typical sunday includes of a lie in usually only until 9.30ish then have breakie, bit of mooching about, some catch up tele and a long bath and pamper session. Happy Lacey :)


After the week I have had my pamper session couldn't had come at a better time. I know recently I have done a lot of blogs regarding hair products but I am still on the hunt for a miracle cure which won't break the bank. I want to try Moroccan Oil but I'm trying to use/use up the bits that I have already bought at home. This Charles Worthington Mineral Hair Rescue at £5.69 for 250ml - isn't anything to rave about in fact it doesn't really have any impact on my hair. It doesn't make my hair any worst than it already is but similar for a mask that is meant to rejuvenate your hair. On a positive it does smell great, and for the time being  it makes for an alright conditioner. 


The top picture is just me being a wally, after I bath I sometimes do crazy things like this for my hair to dry without using too much heat on it. That and it annoys my boyfriend so I like to wind him up. :-P Though a slight benefit is that it makes my hair have lovely waves add a little root boost and bam great hair! lol

Boots 17 Super Shine Lipstick in *Barely Blush

This 17 Super Shine Lipstick from Boots in Barely Blush RRP£4.99 is probably my favourite spare of the moment buy for February. The main photo of me the colour looks a lot pinker, I think that is because I have put a little bit of a matte undercoat lipstick on. But the swatches about are the correct colouring. 


For a high street brand the lipstick is a great and I know it sounds odd that I put a matte lipstick underneath a shine one but that was simply to create the colour that I have above. Though this lipstick on its own I love the pigmentation of it for an everyday look. Especially as my look is quite girly - it suits :-) 


What is your opinion on high end vs high street lipsticks?

Botanics Body Softer

These three products combined make my skin feel like silk - they are that nice. Over the past week I have been swimming and going to the gym a lot, so my body is constantly loosing moisture and after I am showered/dry my skin is flaky especially on my legs. I must admit I am not the best person at doing the whole exfoliating in the shower and then moisturising once out. (I'm super lazy) That and I hate sticky moisturisers and harsh exfoliators. 


I'm not over ally struck on the smell of these, as they are meant to be natural and plant-y they don't smell that great, though I do prefer strong smells. So great if you want a more subtle smell. 


The body polish isn't too grainy on the skin and is only a light exfoliation but you need to use quite a lot on the body which is opposite for the body wash which a little dob lathers up and goes all the way. (I use my Soap & Glory shower puff to lather it up more) and then the moisturiser you have to work into the skin which is probably my biggest negative of the three items even though I quite like the way my skin feels about 20 minutes after application. I hate the immediate tacitness.

Rimmel Nail Care

I am a serious nail biter but in the last year I have been trying to make a conscious effort to stop biting them. Once I had done these as they grew longer, my nails would bend and split easily. I'm never sure what nail treatments work so I tend to stick to brands which offer high street prices as I hate the thought of buying something expensive but rubbish to be honest. (Not that I think anyone particularly enjoys that). 

Now as you probably know by now (if you are regular readers) that I love a bargain buy, these were on off in Boots 2 for £6 and they are RRP at £4.49 - so good deal. 

The left bottle is a 5 in 1 Nail treat which is a base and top coat - I'm not really wow'd by this product and I don't see that it has made any difference to my nails. But on the plus side it does an alright job as a top coat, though it takes ages to dry. 

The right bottle is a 14 day nail hardening treatment which is odd because it works amazing on my thumb nails and middle finger but no so well on the rest. :S Odd. But I am going to work at it as I do like this product it has made my thumb nails like rock. 

Does anyone know of any products they could recommend?? 

Natural Collection Shower Gels

I'm still getting the winter blues :( I'm desperately waiting for the summer and I think yesterday was the first day in a long time that there was a glimmer of spring in the air :) These 3 shower gels from Natural Collection are a great way to start the day and they smell amazing. I have the Strawberry Cream, Mango & Papaya and the Passionfruit ones they are my favourite three. There are six flavours in the range and they are £2 for 500ml (i think, my ones are only 100ml). 


I got mine in a gift set and they came with this shower gloves which I find great for lathering up the shower gel on your body whilst also giving yourself an exfoliation. Apparently these are good for reducing cellulite especially on your bum and legs - so an added bonus. I enjoy my shower times in the morning. Feels great to be woken up properly. I just wished they did a lemon flavour. 


Have you tried anything out of the Natural Collection Range @ Boots?

No.7 Devils Delight Stay Perfect

I'm not extravagant with my nails and I tend to stick to either no nail varnish or a block colour. When I was younger (about 18) I used to get acrylic nails put not all the time and I LOVED them but as I got older (yes I know I am only 22) I kinda stopped focusing on things like my nails and became a lot more money conscious. So in an attempt to keep my nails looking fab, I'm going to try and blog a lot more about nail varnish. 


Myself being a cringe ball that I am, I decided to dig deep into my HUGE nail varnish collection and found a lovely valentines red... to get me in the mood (or something like that) The colour I chose was Devils Delight by No.7 at Boots which is a part of their Stay Perfect range. I think they are around £7... but the prices seem to vary. This colour needs two coats, in order for a dense saturation. And 2 days later I have found that a couple of my nails have started to chip, which is annoying because I love the colour. I even put a top coat on :-S, so I don't really have any other tricks on how to stop in chipping. 


Have you tried No.7 nail polish or have any tricks on how to stop them chipping then please let me know :)

Bourjois Volume Fast & Perfect Mascara

I my eye picture looks a bit distorted/odd but I'm not good at showing these shots and I wanted to show you all how this mascara looks on. It is the Bourjois Volume Fast & Perfect Mascara £11.99 from Boots. I brought it on a 3 for 2 offer, the first thing that I was attracted too was the fact that it has a motor in the top end of the mascara tube. The motor rotates the the mascara wand clockwise then you can also switch it to anti-clockwise. I am easily amused by these little contraptions.


Okay down to the technicals... I quite like this mascara although I do find that it is easy to apply too much on to your lashes and then it results in the lashes clumping. The motor allows the wand to cover mascara all of your lashes from top to bottom. It also curls them because of the spinning motion of the wand you don't need an eyelash curler. Overall, this mascara has positive and negative aspects. Negatives being that it had a tendency to clump, you have to focus when applying and it is easy to get mascara around your eyes. Positives are that it curls your lashes, it covers them 100% and it looks great for an evening look.

No7 False Eyelashes 10 Natural Volume

A couple of years ago I wore false eyelashes everyday but i would only where "natural" looking ones but then went through a stage of not doing it probably because I became to lazy. I tend to stick to eyelashes that I know mainly because I hate trying news ones and I don't like them or they are too thick that they come off during the night. Plus they aren't exactly the cheapest things to sort of waste. I hate it if I have been an emotional wreck or sleep in my eye lashes and they then get ruined :( 


Anyone these ones I tried on a whim last year when No7 did a £5 off offer. The lashes retail at £7.50 so with the voucher they are only £2.50 which are a bargain. Now because I like them I haven't tried any others in the range but I will next time they have a £5 off voucher. The only downside is the glue - I don't like the glue and tend to stick my Mac one or the Eylure one. 


I am a creature of habit so these will be staying on my to buy shopping list for the next vouchers as I only have about 3 pairs left from my last haul!
