Where Are My Knees? 10 Week Pledger

Friday, 19 October 2012

The girls from the Where Are My Knees blog have created this 10 week pledge to get fitter/trimer for Christmas. I have been thinking about Christmas and the New Year and how my resolution is lose weight pretty much most years and again as another year is drawing in and I haven't lose any weight and I don't really want to have that disappointing feeling again so at least I know if I can try and lose a stone (14lb) by Christmas then at least I know I would had achieved something.

On these dates I will be doing a post on my progress what I have done, eaten and little slips up (hopefully not too many)

Week 1: 21st October                                      Week 6: 25th November
Week 2: 28th October                                     Week 7: 2nd December
Week 3: 4th November                                    Week 8: 9th December
Week 4: 11th November                                  Week 9: 16th December
Week 5: 18th November                                 Week 10: 23rd December

This means I need to be more gyming it and less eating all the bad foods which I have been indulging in. Packed lunch for work and lots of water and herbal tea for me :) I'm also going to try and gut out gluten too because I want to see if that changes or helps with my bloating.

How else is in? I would love to know if anyone else is on a mission to get a little sexier for christmas!

Catch you later girls :) x

  1. You can do it!! I think it's good. Get healthier and fitter..we should all take better care of our bodies. I've been doing the rowing machine for some weeks now, it's brilliant. A great work out, I lose the calories easier and I don't get bored, haha :) I hope you succeed in your goals doll xx

    1. Ooo I might try that. I can't use the rowing machine at the moment because of an injury but I will try it out in the next couple of months :)

  2. I always try to take care of my body but my vices include crisps, chocolate and wine.... But then again I do counteract this with exercise!!

    1. Thats the thing, I will never be on a strict diet because I like crisp and chocolate too much but it is about balancing it with exercise so then I won't chubb up :)

  6. Losing weight is always a good resolution. ;) I wish you all the best for it.

But if I may give you one advice: Cutting gluten won't make any difference.
I don't know why these days, it seems to be en vogue to get on a gluten-free diet, since gluten is nothing "bad" for ordinary people.
There are certain people suffering from celiac disease who can't digest gluten. This, however, results in a series of symptoms like an inability to digest fat (for the gluten destroys the natural intestinal function), nervosity, fatigue, pain in the bones, or anemia. This might sound rather "general" (and I'm sure many people feel a like that once in a while), but gluten intolerance rarely ever is the problem.

If you want to know some better diet foot, try high fiber food - salad, vegetable, oats. That might help more.

    1. Hey,
Thanks for that info. Basically it stems from my work and I had to look into food intolerances for an article and I was saying that I feel really tired and bloat of late. Now I said I was pretty sure if it is because I have put on weight or they said it could be because I have an gluten intolerance. I'm just going to moderate both my diet and gluten intake and see what happens.
Thanks for your advice though. But you are definitely right saying gluten free is the in thing. :) x

    i'm doing 30 days shred!
it's a series of gymnastic exercises that is divided in 3 levels.
the first 10 days level one, then for the other 10 days level 2 and for the last 10 days level 3 (Do one level for 10 days and then move on to the next one until you've completed the 30 days)
i try it, i hope that it can do something!!
this is the link of all the 3 levels: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ve-WiQKi_W8

  10. Oooh good luck hun, I may have to jump on this too!

My boyfriend has agreed to buy me a new car if I can lose 3 1/2 stone by February. I've lost half a stone in the last 10 days so I'm feeling positive haha. Also got a couple of pairs of Zaggora pants so fingers crossed I can do it!

Can't wait to see how you get on with this! :)
