400 Days!

Monday, 16 June 2014

It has been 400 days since I last blogged while a lot has changed, a lot has still stayed the same. I wouldn't like to say that I gave up blogging but to be honest I just fell out of the motion of doing it. I was fully out of university and head first into my first full time "career" job, after spending 8 hours a day if front of a computer the last thing that crossed my mind was again sitting in front of a computer in the evenings. And then guess what? Life just passes you by, to be honest I have spent the last six months promising that I will get back into blogging because it is something which I do genuinely enjoy. But then I got promoted at work and again life just passes you by.

Hey, so enough talking of the past and me just giving a pile of excuses and let me tell you what you can expect from my blog going forward. I am currently embarking on a weight loss journey. I am 23lbs down from my biggest weight but I still have 52lbs to go when I will hit my target. I'm aware that it is not going to be easy because the first 23lbs certainly didn't fall off - but I am the worst kind of dieter, a yo yo dieter. It's not sustainable and i'm realising that it has to become a lifestyle change. In the past 6 months, my weight has fluctuated around 17lbs, I can't seem to get the scales lower, nor am I feeling any fitter.

The kind of posts which you can expect:

  • A weekly progress report from myself
  • Beauty tips
  • Recipes
  • Workouts
  • General discussions
  • Fashion (if I am feeling brave)
I did start a series called My Big Fat Diary which I am going to pick up, just at the time I wasn't in the right frame of mind to discuss or to keep to the diet plan. Read about my weight story here

I look forward to posting some more bits up here this week. Here's to a new start.

UPDATE: Where Have I Been?

Tuesday, 7 May 2013

Hello Everyone,

So I haven't blogged in nearly a month! I know I have been such a sporadic blogger - sometimes I run out of blogging mojo and then sometimes life just takes over. But for me April has been a great month and I have done lots of things which I am really happy about and I am a lot more focused on completely my goals. There have been too big things which has really settled me at the moment.

The first big thing: I have lost weight. 12lbs to be exact which was done in 4 weeks and I'm really proud that I have got myself into the swing of things - so I might do a post on what I've been up to. The main bulk of it is eating less and moving more! Who knew it was that simple eh? Haha, for me it is one of those things which are easier said than done. But nevertheless I ideally still want to lose another 18lbs by 24th September 2013 - so I need to keep my motivation flowing. I know I was doing my weekly posts on a Tuesday as I thought it would be a great idea to keep my focused but for some reason it just didn't help or work it the way I had hoped. I will still be doing some health/fitness/diet post but these will be about a topic rather than just my weightloss journey.

The second big thing: I have been working full time for the past 3 months which means that I have got myself into a good routine. But this also means that a few things have been taking a sideline like my blog. To be honest the first week I didn't really miss my blog but I had a little bit of bloggers block - but I really really miss it. I took advantage of this bank holiday weekend and it wasn't a messy one (trying to curb those calories), it wasn't an expensive one (trying to save up for a few things) but it was a productive one - I sorted out lots of bits and I have two huge baskets of bits and bobs which I want to blog about.

So I just wanted to do a sort of welcome back message and look out for tomorrows post.

My Big Fat Diary: Week 5

Tuesday, 12 February 2013
Hello Girls,

Week Five:

After all of your wonderful comments last week and all the tips that you gave me I just felt super motivated to start this week. At first I was a bit apprehensive about blogging my "weight loss" journey because to be honest I know how easy I find it to fall of the wagon and I thought that this blogging series would turn into a failure because I would give up or be embarrassing because I would come across as lazy or I would just lie about what has really been going on and tell you all what I think you would want to hear. And I am so glad that I haven't done any of these... well actually have been slightly embarrassed by the lack of effort that I have put in but your comments and tips of motivation and support have really pulled me through whereas I think if I was doing this solo, I would had just failed. However I was a little bit disheartened this morning when I realised that I had only lost another pound and I know it sounds silly but I did have a little cry because I felt as though I had put a lot of effort in this week and it didn't pay off as well as I would had hope. I was thinking that I had lost around 2-3lb because of my size but I hadn't. Anyhow a lost is still a lost.

Lost: 1lb

Food: I have been really good at not eating too much rubbish this week and I even had a couple of cheeky trips to Nandos but rather than having my usual Chicken burger, chips, halloumi cheese and garlic bread (I know carb central... I just love their rolls).  I have been having a half a chicken with salad and halloumi cheese, because we can't skip out all the things we love and it is amazing. Myfitnesspal has become my new best friend and I am religiously noting down everything that I am eating and even planning in advance what to have just so I know to make the right choices.

Calorie Target - 1500 per day/ 10,500 for the week.

Calorie Intake - 9, 172 for the week - which means I wasn't too naughty about what I have been munching on.

Fitness: It is true what they say that once you get the bite for fitness you really do go for it. I am not going to lie it wasn't easy nor was it pretty, however I feel better for it and that has got to count for something right? I ached and the next morning I moaned but I picked myself up and changed up my routine just to make sure that I wasn't just focusing on the same muscles. This seemed to really help with the making me less achy in the morning.

Exercising Target - 3x 1 hour exercise per week

Actual Exercising - This week I had the bite for it - I did 2 gym sessions, 1 body conditioning class and 2 swimming sessions (100 laps).

Mood: I have been feeling good this week, I feel positive about myself. A lot of things seem to have started to change, my hair is in better condition (probably due to the vitamins that I am taking), my skin is clearer (probably due to the vast mounts of water which I am drinking) and I am just in a better mood and have so much more energy which is a bigger plus too.

If you want to see the background behind me and my weight see this post (includes pictures)

Any healthy "grazing" snacks that you can recommend?

Thanks

My Big Fat Diary: Week 4

Wednesday, 6 February 2013
Image: weheartit.com

Hello Girls,

Week Four:

I can't believe it is like six days into February and I haven't posted yet... to be honest I could come up with a million reasons why but the biggest truth is that I have just been lazy. Any of you who follow me on Twitter or Instagram will know that on Monday, I started a new job. So I have gone from doing part-time hours (very sparse part time hours) to doing a full 9-5.30 job. So in the run up from last week I have been trying to do as much possible before I started work... by as much possible I mean anything to defer me from going to the gym. Though to be honest I know I have only been working since Monday but it is baffling me how anybody who works full time fits in the gym... very "fat girl" of me  to think that. I need to stop with this "lazy girl" attitude.

Lost: 1lb

Food: The beginning of the week started off really good and the weight began to melt (or at least I felt a lot less bloated) but then I became busy and connivence took over. I mean don't get me wrong I have started to become very self conscious of the amount of calories that I am having and I need to make time to sit down and plan my food for the week, especially my lunches and snacks. That is one good thing about working full time is that you can plan you weeks meals, when I was part time I didn't know what I was doing from one day to the next let alone what I was going to eat. Though I am proud that I am under my weekly target... I just need to get the balance between calorie counting and exercising right!

Calorie Target - 1500 per day/ 10,500 for the week.

Calorie Intake - 10, 494 for the week - which means I was only 6 calories under my weekly... However I have tried really hard to maintain my 1500 a day which I think is why I have only lost a pound.

Fitness: I wish I wasn't so lazy but I am... though I keep blaming in on the fact that I have no routine to my life and now I have a routine... I'm still not doing much about it. Though I guess this week is the testers of my routine and most normal activities ie blogging have been out the window.

Exercising Target - 3x 1 hour exercise per week

Actual Exercising - None. Though I have been walking A LOT more... I have about a 10minute walk into and out of work. Then I take the stairs (4 flights... impressing) haha but that kills me if I am honest.

Mood: If I am totally honest, my "diet" has been the last thing on my mind this week... I have been worrying about my job and then whilst at work been worrying about the actual work I am doing. However, I have become more aware that I am now sitting down all day (typical office job) apart from printer/toilet/drinks trips. I have also noticed that I like to pick in the afternoons and realised how hard it is to dodge the chocolate and biscuit givers of the office. I know I am only 3 days in but I really want to find myself a routine which includes exercise and vitamin taking.... lots of it.

If you want to see the background behind me and my weight see this post (includes pictures)

So if any one works full time or has a super busy life can you give me a few tips... though they have to be do-able!

Thanks

My Big Fat Diary: Week 3

Tuesday, 29 January 2013
Image: wehearit.com

Hello Everyone,

Week Three:
Flop; that is what I think of this week. I haven't done badly buy to be honest my head hasn't fully been in the game. I had a little reality shock on Friday when I decided to go through my waredrobe trying on 90% of my clothes and find that A LOT are tight or don't fit. I have got a rid of lots of things and I have kept all my nice clothes which I can aim to get into. It took me nearly 5 hours and it definately has given me a push in the right direction :)

Lost: 1lb

Food: I have had a few naughty treats this week but I have been trying to pick the healthier options for example I went to the cafe with my friend and instead of having a fry up, I had poached egg on toast. Friday night I had a curry with the family and instead of my typical chicken tikka masala, pilau rice and a peshwari naan I opted for a Chicken Bhuna, boiled rice and a plain naan (which I shared with my Dad). I also had a girls night in on Saturday and whilst the wine (calorific) was flowing we snacked on baked crisps, low fat tips and vegatables and having thin crust home cooked pizzas over dominos.

Calorie Target - 1500 per day/ 10,500 for the week.

Calorie Intake - 12, 341 for the week - which means i had an average of 1,700 calories a day which isn't too bad over my target. I tried to balance the bad days with the good ones.

Fitness: Gah I haven't improved from last week and to be honest I have felt like a massive heffer so I couldn't think of anything worst than going to the gym. I know that is sounds silly because if I went to the gym I probably would feel better afterwards. I always find as well there are a lot of slim healthy people at my gym and this can make me feel a little awkward but I need to understand the reason that they are like that is because they are at the gym often. Sounds silly but so true. I have been taking myself out on walks mainly to calm myself down as I have felt a little over stressed this week.

Exercising Target - 3x 1 hour exercise per week

Actual Exercising - 3x half hour power walking sessions (this was more for stress relief to be honest. Oops - still exercise though) and a 20 minute intense Body Conditioning session.

Mood: I have been coming up to my 'time of the month' and I had what felt like a really bad weekend. There is something about me which sometimes makes me worry so much that I either feel sick to my stomach or I feel sorry for myself and demolish most things in sight. Most of you girls will understand the emotions we all get before that time and I am just one of these girls which turn into the cookie monster. As of Monday though I am starting a new full time job, which I am so excited about and hopefully that will put a little more routine in my life and cut the time that I have to worry about little things.

My Big Fat Diary: Week 2

Thursday, 24 January 2013

Imageweheartit.com

Hello Everyone,

So like I said I will be doing weekly post every Tuesday, about my weight loss journey - and yes as you can see today is Thursday and I am only just posting this. That is for two reasons, 1 I have been buried under a mountain of receipts doing tax returns for the end of the month and the other is because I have complete flown off the wagon, not even fallen off - just completely flew far away from the wagon. Mare!

Week two:
I HATE week too, if I can get past weeks 2 and 3 then I am usually on the right path to shed some pounds. I really want to just blame the snow the reason that I haven't made an effort to go to the gym and it is also the reason why I have been eating so much food! Obviously to keep warm too :p.

Lost: 0lbs

Food: Waah I have been eating LOADS! To be honest I don't know what has been wrong with me but I have been craving my arse off for sweet foods. It doesn't help that I have been at home loads! I start my new full time job on the 4th February so I won't have that as an excuse to why I have been spending most of my days picking! Also the snow makes you crave hot, stodgy and carb-filled foods - FACT! I am still human, I love my food!

Calorie Target - 1500 per day/ 10,500 for the week.

Calorie Intake - 14,821 for the week - which means I ate a hell of a lot - average 2,000 a day.

Fitness: So because I hate walking in the snow, as I am like Bambi on ice so I have used that as an excuse to not to go to the gym. So In the week I only went to the gym once, I know I could workout at home but I am just never motivated enough for that. That is my aim for week 3!

Exercising Target - 3x 1 hour exercise per week

Actual Exercising - 1 hour of the swimming - ooops!

Mood: I am a firm believer in that if you want something that bad, then you will do it.  But I also believe that you will get obstacle which you have to overcome. So even though I have come off the wagon, I need to pull myself back onto it and I will. I am classing this week as an off week and I am trying not to be a defeatist  and let it get to me too much and show myself that this week I can do it :)

If you want to see the background behind me and my weight see this post (includes pictures)

How is everyone's get fit for new year thing going? Has anyone fallen or slipped off the wagon like myself?

My Big Fat Diary: Week 1

Tuesday, 15 January 2013
Hello Everyone,

So like I said I will be doing weekly post every Tuesday, about my weightloss journey - but also about my moods and how I have been feeling with it. Now if you want to read (or see pictures) of me currently and my goal or me prior to my weight gain then click here

Week One:
I'm not sure whether week one is meant to be easy or not - or whether it is just dependant. For one thing, I had a lot of fitness motivation but probably lacked in certain parts of my diet (I did still indulge in some fatty bits... oops) I am just trying to slowly cut myself down on the foods that I like.Though on the positive, I have been to the gym 3 times this week (which was my aim) and I have been drinking around the 2 litres mark of water

Lost: 4lbs

Food: It has been a mixed week, I have had good and bad days. I only went over my calories one day and the rest I remained under which is great. I had a few little treats as I am trying to get myself of the chocolate without going cold turkey because then I am hoping that I won't crave it as much. I use the myfitnesspal app - my name is Misslaceyloves on it and I recommend it to anyone who is trying to diet!

Calorie Target - 1500 per day/ 10,500 for the week.

Calorie Intake - 10,399 for the week - which means that I was 101 calories under for the week. Pretty good considering the over indulgence that I had.

Fitness: I don't like going to the gym, but once I have been and gone to the gym I really like it, but then I don't like the aching the next day. A vicious circle really. I have never been the most sporty of people and I am rubbish at running and many other physical activities. I used to go to Body Conditioning classes back when I was fitter and they really helped me tone and help me lose weight too! I tend to steer clear of the gym itself as I am not very self motivating and I usually go easier on myself than I would in a class.

Exercising Target - 3x 1 hour exercise per week

Actual Exercising - 1 hour of the gym & 45mins Aqua Aerobics, 1 hour of the gym & 1 hour at a Body Conditioning class. Along with walking a lot more and as often as I can.

Mood: I feel really deflated this week, I mean don't get me wrong I am happy with my weight loss this week. I do feel like I have cheated myself because I have just lost the weight that I gained over Christmas, that and I haven't tried the hardest that I could. I just feel that when I start exercising and dieting, I begin to notice the fat on me even more than I did before. I'm hoping to be gulping the endorphins of my exercising next week. I just need to pull myself out of my silly mope.

If you want to see the background behind me and my weight see this post (includes pictures)

How is everyones healthy New Years going?

What's In My Gym Bag?

Sunday, 13 January 2013
Since starting to go back to the gym, I have been looking around seeing what people take to the gym with them. Now 9 times out of 10 when I go to the gym I have a swim afterwards or at least go in the Jacuzzi or the Steam Room. So it might seem like I take a lot of bits to the gym but I pretty much use them all most times. I also have 3 different "kits" like what I wear to the gym but the one that I am posting is my favourite!

Adidas Pink & Grey Sports Bag - I think that having the right bag for the gym is key, it helps you remember everything you need. This Adidas one is perfect for me, it is big enough for all the bits that I need. There are many compartments to this bag, on the outside you have one large pocket which is designed for trainers, it has air holes in it to stop your trainers from making your bag smell and it also keeps them separate from all your cleans bits. On the other side there is a zip section where I normally put my car keys, gym card, padlock and phone. Inside the bag there is an attached purse where I keep a little bit of money never more than £10 because I rarely take my purse to the gym unless I am going out straight after. There is also little pockets inside, one where I keep all my ladies things, just in case, the other I don't really use. And there is a place to hold a water bottle.

Nike Pink Dry Fit Running Top - I have only started to realise the importance of a good kit. I used to just chuck on a baggy t-shirt and some tracksuit bottoms/leggings. Now while I hate the way I look in this top as it isn't the most flattering. The material is light, it doesn't get caught up when  I am exercising and it allows my skin to breathe which helps with reducing spots. I love these tops - you can get this one here.

Marks & Spencer's High Impact Sports Bra  - This is an oldie and a favourite of mine. I have large boobs (36GG) so then need strapping down as best as they can. I struggle getting good fitting bras let alone good fitting sports bras. The high impact range from M&S are really good. The one I have isn't wired and has a racer style back - the current ones that they stop are underwired. I have never had an underwired sports bra, so I am not sure if they are better or not...?

Nike Dry Fit Running Capri's - I think these are third in the list of importance of when you need to make sure you get a good fit (first being trainers, second being sports bra). These trousers allow you to move around, they stay up and they are well fitted. They are breathable and tight - like I don't like how I look in them because I feel that my arse is huge in them. You can get this here - they come in lots of different colours

Nike Trainers - These are light and comfy. I was wearing plimsolls at one point and one of the instructors from my class said that I will end up with really bad knee problems. After buying these, it made such a difference with my workout, so I recommend getting some well fitting trainers. Mine are actually Men's ones - I have only just realised but I am a size 7 so I guess it is easy to make.

Puma White Trainer Socks -  I love these ones, they don't slips under my feet and they are cheap enough to buy in bulk as I usuallyly wear them out.

Adidas Black Swimsuit -  I received this for Christmas, after a year of wearing a purple one where I resembled Barney. With this when swimming I don't have to worry about anything falling out and it is pretty flattering too. I have mine with white stripes.

Topshop Flip flops - Just for when walking around the pool area and when using the showers, you never know what nasties are on the floor.

3 x Towels - I big beach towel for showering, a small one for my hair and a face towel for wiping down the machines after use.

Swimsuit Bag - I bought this is Primark, it is a bikini bag, but is great for putting a wet swimsuit in.

Hair Brush - Paddle brushes are my favourite as I have super knotty hair. I use this one from The Body Shop.

Body Spray - I am using Impluse Very Pink, I always worry that if I take perfume the bottle with brake but this body spray does the job whilst I am in the gym.

Iphone - I have only recently got an iPhone and it is great for the gym. I keep track of my excercising and progress whilst keeping myself occupied. I will be doing a blog post of my favourite diet/fitness apps and motivation.

Headphones - The new ones for the iPhone 5 aren't the best but I am using them at the moment until I can find a good alternative. They have a great sound quality but tend to move/fall out of my ears whilst I am excercising.

Gym Card - I am a member of Virgin Active, and I couldn't recommend this gym more. The people are lovely, it has great equipment, gym classes and offers great advice. The facilities are always clean and tidy! If you have one local I would check them out, the best gyms I have seen in my area.

Padlock - I need this for my locker at my gym, it is my own personal one.

Toilertry Bag - My one is from Primark a few years back now, it is great for the gym as it is waterproof and has two sections and can be hung up whilst keeping all your bits dry.

Body Wash - I used Happy Hippy by Lush it has a citrus fragrance and is great at revitalising after a work out. This is my favourite shower gel ever!

Body Scrub - I am using up an old Botanics one which they no longer stock.

Body Sponge - Just to get off any excess skin, I use The Body Shop Lily.

Shampoo - Essential, using one up from Christmas. I don't rate it at all!

Conditioner - Essential, using one up from Christmas. I don't rate it at all!

Wide Tooth Comb - Helps when I am conditioner to detangle my hair.

Face Scrub - I love this face scrub, I am a lover of the original St Ives scrubs but this warming one feels great on the skin and sort of spa-esq. It is St. Ives Elements Warming Scrub.

Deodorant - Need I say anymore. I am currently using up my Dove Beauty Finish Roll On.

Body Moisturiser - After sweating in the gym, then going swimming and then showering, my skin needs its moisture being replaced. I am using up my mini Soap & Glory Righteous Butter, I prefer fruity scents but as this is a mini, I am just using it up!

Face Wipes -  I always wipe my face after a workout, I have blemish proned skin and I try to limit this by cleaning my face regularly. I am currently using Johnsons Cleasning Wipes for Combination Skin

Face Cream -Just because I use wipes, I want to rehydrate my skin. I am currently using The Body Shop's Aloe Day Cream as it is light and gentle on my skin, also soothes redness.

Tissues - Again just incase you need one, I have had a cold recently so these have been essentials.

Lip Balm - My current favourite is the Nivea Caramel Creme, it is so soft on my lips.

Hair Bands & Kirby Grips - You never know when you need these they always come in handy and I leave them in my little black zippy pot/bag

Water -  I tend to take a bottle from home and just refill as much as I need at the gym.

What's in your gym bag?

My Big Fat Diary

Tuesday, 8 January 2013

So as you might have seen, one of my New Years Resolutions is to lose weight - this is a standard for me and it happens every year. If I am honest, I don't think everyone is happy with there body and I don't think I will either. There are just some things that you need to learn to accept. For instance, I am never going to be really skinny because one, that isn't the way I was built and two, I love my food too much! I will be doing a series of fitness/diet/healthy living blog post, so I wanted to give you a full idea of what I am about. I hope to show you all how I am losing weight and the tips and tricks that I do.

My History
So first off I thought I would give you a brief overview of me and my body, because lets face it everyone is different, so what might work for me - may or may not work for you. I would say on average that I have been a size 12, I have flucuated between an 8 (this was short lived) all the way to an 18 and at points probably fitted into a 20. I am currently sitting at a slight uncomfortable size 16, which for me is a 2 dress sizes above where I feel comfortable. On the whole my family aren't skinny and we all have healthy appetites. I have an hour glass frame and I am 5ft 7", I have always had big boobs too regardless of size but currently I am sitting at a 36GG.
(L-R: Around my slimmest; My Body Happiness; At My Largest (luckily this is the only picture I have and I am wearing all black so probably a bit bigger than this)

Weight vs Size
I wish I had the confidence to disclose my actual weight and I am not sure why but it is something that I am extremley embarrassed about. I am one of these people, who I guess are pretty fortunate enough to weigh A LOT more than I look. There are only 4 people who actually know my real weight and I am pretty sure they still think I weigh less. Obviously the doctors know and I always get the same reaction of "oh I didn't except you to be as heavy as that." I am a size 16 and that is all I am going to say, you never know if I lose the amount of weight that I want to, I may feel better about letting you know my weight. Though if you scroll down to my goal weight loss, I am sure many of you could work it out :)

Looks vs Health
I would be lying if I said that I wasn't going to lose weight for vanity reason, because I do - obviously I want to feel better in my skin which means looking a little trimmer. However, that honestly isn't my main motivator at this current point in time. I need to lose at least 14lb by the 25th February 2013, so that the doctors don't moan at me when I want a repeat perscription of my contraceptive pill - because I had to plead with them last time to give me the pill as I had lost weight from the previous but I hadn't lost as much as they wanted. However, I did have major health problems and was in and out of hospital so they couldn't really have a go :p. I can't go onto a different pill either because the other one which they put me on before sent me a little crazy - not something that I want to put myself through again!

Goals
I found this picture on weheartit.com and I think that it is so true. In an ideal world I would love to lose 2 stone in 2 months, but lets face it - that is a little unreasonable. On average I want to lose 2lb a week until I have hit my 36lb target! Obviously I am going to lose weight quicker in the first month then it will slow down but that's just the way it goes, so hopefully as I get fitter I will need to work harder. I also want to run a 5k race in the Summer time, so this weight loss will aid my fitness and hopefully me accomplishing this. But ideally I just want to be able to fit into this dress again:

(if you don't recognise me, I am the one in the black dress on the right)

Reasons Why I'm Overweight
This one seems pretty obivous to be honest, I am overweight because I eat more than I burn off! But it isn't just that there are habits which I have adopted and consume which cause me to be overweight.

- I love everything that is calorific and bad for me
- I am really lazy and prefer takeaways/eating out to my own cooking (or someone cooking for me)
- I don't like running or feeling out of breath
- I am a really big emotional eater - Sad/bored/lonely/fed up/cold/content - I eat!
- I hate the way I look in sports clothes/ when I excercise
- My family (household) have bad eating habits and they are hard to break out on your own.

What My Plan Of Action Is

- Stop moaning about my weight and start to do something about it.
- Aim to go to 3 gym classes a week - at least (it has to be gym classes as I am not very self motivating)
- Religiously use MyFitnessPal (a calorie counting app - also available online myfitnesspal.com)

- Make sure the food that I am putting into my body is nutritional (this will help with my moods as well)
- Limit the amount of takeaways, when I am being lazy!
- Learn what foods are good for you and what to avoid when eating out
- Keep busy to avoid emotional/boredom eating

Do you know any helpful websites or tips which I could look at? Or if you are dieting/tracking your fitness via your blog - leave you link below!

Have a great day! :)

(This is my motto of 2013)

Hello Everyone,

I hope you all had a lovely Christmas & New Year. I wanted to sneak this post in as I have had such a busy Christmas that I have barely posted and I personally love to read about other peoples thoughts on the past year and their resolutions for the year ahead! If you have been a follower of mine this year, you will know that 2012 wasn't the best of years for me! But hey ho, that was all last year - so it is onwards and upwards for 2013!

My Resolution:

- Sort myself out - Lose 30 pounds, Take Vitamins Daily & Have a Solid Skincare routine!
- Clear all my debt (excluding my Student Loan)
- Do a Make-Up Artistry Course
- Get myself on my chosen career ladder
- Start Youtubing
- Do at least one charity event
- Learn how to use my new camera

So in terms of blogging, I have a few new things up my sleeves! Firstly, I am going to try and great a continuity of blogging! I am going to do quite a few posts on my weight loss journey; my gym experience, diet, tips and how I am feeling. I'm thinking that this will be a weekly post, so I hope you will all like to see that and my journey. I am also going to try and do a couple of photo's of the day shots - now the reason I don't do them currently is because I am far to self conscious and when I take the pictures I feel hideous, saying that though since I got my new phone I have been instagraming a few (follow me: MissLaceyLoves) so let me know your opinions on that.

Anyway, I will leave you all to enjoy your New Years Day. Let me know in the comment box below if you have posted your New Years Resolutions as I am super nosey and love reading about them! Catch you all later :)

The D Word..

Monday, 2 January 2012

I HATE the D word... (Diet) possibly more than i hate Gym. However, i am positive that 2012 will be my year to get back to a size 12. I'm a pretty curvy girl always have been even when i was slimmer. I have massive boobs which doesn't help the gym situation, as much as thousands of girls (or as i'm told) would kill for a 36GG bust... believe me when it comes to fashion and sport, they are more trouble than they are worth.

It's the little things...
1. Walk instead of driving - the train station is only a 5-10minute walk from my house, as is my gym and the main shopping town is only a 20min walk. So not only will i be saving money i'll be getting my blood pumping
2. I work in Bluewater which is a nightmare when it comes to hanging around before and after work. My shop is opposite the food court too. I am going to make a conscious effort not to take any money or bank cards to work, as it is so easy just to pick up food and spend money i don't have either.

Has anyone got any good tips for me? pleeeease!!
