Think Pink - Bath Bomb - £2.45 ( I dropped this before takin the photo... :( It still made a great bath)

Yes, this is my february Lush haul... I have grown to really really love Lush. Can you tell? I didn't buy this in one big haul but in staggering shopping spree - as this way it gives me more chance to go in Lush lots of times. There are also a couple of little bits that are from a gift set that I received for christmas. This haul doesn't include the post that I did on Lush's Cupcake Mask and Lush's Jasmin & Henna Fluff Eaze Hair Moisturiser they were also purchased this month.

What I love about Lush:

1. The products are natural which means they are kind to your skin - my theory is that if you want great looking skin you need to use nice products.

2. The products look innovative and they smell great too.

3. While the prices are on the expensive side when you compare the fact that some of the bombs or bars you'd use a whole one per bath - I think verses the quality of them they are great.

4. I can take them out of the packaging and put them in my cupboard or on the side and they aid as an air freshener.

I am going to put a quick review about the products that I have already used. But the ones that are still sitting in my cupboard are: Dream Steam, Karma, Happy Blooming, Creamy Candy and Sugar Babe along with Sex Bomb and Rock Star - but these are just stock of products I have used before :P

Magic Mushroom - it smelt like strawberries and cream, it wasn't as over powering as some of the products that you can find in Lush. I was personally attracted to the look of the mushroom as I was cute. It crumbled in the bath nicely and there were no lumps (I hate when bombs/bars leave lumpy bits) the water was postbox red accompanied by frothy white bubbles. I used the whole mushroom for one bath as I don't think there would had been enough for two - that and the smell had weakened significantly once created into a bath.

Leap Frog - it turned my bath bright green which was a bit odd getting into, there was a little note inside the bomb which I thought was sweet. "This is a kissed from the prince" (something along those lines). The smell reminded me of washing powder - it felt fresh although not my favourite smell - I brought it more for the way it looked.

Yuzu & Coco - My favourite scent I think - coconut oil and shea butter, leaves you skin feeling kissable and nom. The macaroon shape means it is easy to split it between two baths, I didn't find that it bubbled as much as other bubble bars I have used. It felt like a treat on the skin though. Love Love.

Sex Bomb - A staple love of mine though I do get annoyed with trying to put it in half so I don't use a whole bomb per bath as this one is massive and I think it could be more value for money to split it. If you have any tips that would be great?! Again this one is girly looking, girly smelling and very very pink!

Rock Star - This soap bar last for ages, like months, though this could be because I only use it maybe once or twice a week as I normally have showers but try to make one day a week for a bath - two if I'm feeling I need it. This soap is sweet smelling but you can detect vanilla in it, it is gentle on the skin. I'm on my second lot now, but I want to break away from it as there are plenty more than I MUST try!

Foot Lotion - I work part time in retail whilst doing my degree, so after a long shift my feet are normally quite achy. This lotion is refreshing and lovely with peppermint and spearmint smells. I love it as much as the Body Shop one they are both fab in my eyes.

Helping Hands - I wished that in the shops when you buy this that it comes in the same pump as it does in the gift sets. I carry this one in my handbag and it is probably the best hand lotion I have used (second to that would be Helping Hands by Soap & Glory). It contains honey, almond oil and coco and shea butter, these are the smells that I can detect, but also aid to why it is so smoothing.

Think Pink - The smell I find similar to Sex Bomb but it is a lot small in the size so I put the whole one and it turned my bath pink and had little confetti hearts which scattered about. Obviously because I dropped it, it was pre crushed so had no floaty lumps. The only thing was that similar to Sex Bomb it left a pinky stain in the bath but it was easily removed with a  squirt of Flash Bathroom Cleaner.

What's your favourite Lush product??

Umberto Giannini Curl Friends

Tuesday 28 February 2012

For the all of you who read my blog frequently, will know that I am always on the hunt for products that'll make my hair feel amazing. I struggle to find good shampoos and conditioners and when I find one usually after 3 months my hair tends to play up. Like most people I have my favourites but then like most bloggers I am curious of new products.

When I was younger I used Umberto Giannini Blonde shampoo and loved it, so I thought I would try the curling shampoo and conditioner in their range. I have a mixed opinion on this and I am really glad that I had only brought little bottles to try because I won't be repurchasing these. I know that it is an expensive way of doing it as they I think they were about £1.78 for 75ml compared to the full size which are £4.89 for 250ml.

The shampoo does what a shampoo should do, it makes my hair feel ultra clean and is able to be worked in fully to your hair. But, the conditioner doesn't make my hair feel like I have put any on. It doesn't detangle my hair or allow it to feel nourished, instead it makes the knots work. I like strong smelling products as well, and these don't particularly smell nice or of anything. I have to say for a premium brand I wasn't impressed at all and I probably had too high of an expectation.

Has anyone tried this range and not liked it? Or is it just me?

F*ck Monday #8

Monday 27 February 2012

This picture seems to sum up my week.

*** I have attended 3 gym classes this week (1x Body Attack & 2x Body Conditioning). I'm probably the biggest of everyone in my class... and that is quite disheartening but as a lot of people are telling me that they are so slim because they go all the time. Fingers crossed that'll be me soon :D

*** I think this week I've just been a grizzle bag... I hate driving! Seriously makes me wonder how some people have passed their test. I got so angry with this male driver who thought it would be great to drive up my arse whilst crawling in traffic and then over took a big chunk of the traffic. Doughnut could had killed himself. pfft.!

*** On saturday night I went to my boyfriend's friend's 50th birthday party. It was great, had such a great night. Though we had one of those drunken conversations which aired out a lot of things which is a relief on our relationship. I love putting the world to rights when drunk. lol.

*** I haven't blogged for like 3 days either which is bad as I wanted to blog everyday of the year. Just need to crack the whip on that one :D

How is your Monday??

Almost Payday: Lust List 2:

Thursday 23 February 2012
1. Asos Curve Exclusive Dress with Lace Bodice - £50

2. Asos Curve Exclusive Pink/Black Dress with Contrast Cowl - £40

3. BooHoo Clara Chiffon Split Sleeve 2in1 Bodycon Dress - £20

4. Dorothy Perkins Stripe Bubble Stitch Jumper - £25

5. Miss Selfridge Embellished Vest Top - £45
6. River Island Pink Chain Print Bowler Bag - £40

So it is that day before payday and after being very skint this month I have been craving for a big shopping trip. When putting this collection together I realised that they are all pretty much the same colours. I love Asos Curve Collection probably because of the models sizes, they seem around a 14-16 which is perfect for me as that is my size but the range only starts at an 18 so I have never brought anything from them before. Does anyone know if they come up on the snug side? Eeee all the gorgeous spring bits and bobs are in now... :-) and today is meant to be 17 degrees in London. Woop Woop! Roll it on...!

Though if anyone wants to transfer any money into my account so I can splurge on lots of pretty things :-)  Enjoy the sun guys!

Botanics Body Softer

Wednesday 22 February 2012

These three products combined make my skin feel like silk - they are that nice. Over the past week I have been swimming and going to the gym a lot, so my body is constantly loosing moisture and after I am showered/dry my skin is flaky especially on my legs. I must admit I am not the best person at doing the whole exfoliating in the shower and then moisturising once out. (I'm super lazy) That and I hate sticky moisturisers and harsh exfoliators.

I'm not over ally struck on the smell of these, as they are meant to be natural and plant-y they don't smell that great, though I do prefer strong smells. So great if you want a more subtle smell.

The body polish isn't too grainy on the skin and is only a light exfoliation but you need to use quite a lot on the body which is opposite for the body wash which a little dob lathers up and goes all the way. (I use my Soap & Glory shower puff to lather it up more) and then the moisturiser you have to work into the skin which is probably my biggest negative of the three items even though I quite like the way my skin feels about 20 minutes after application. I hate the immediate tacitness.

Botanics range is available at Boots in the UK and these three together retailed at £8.

Has anyone tried anything else from their range??

Benefit They're Real Mascara

Tuesday 21 February 2012

Benefit They're Real Mascara retails at £18.50 in most stores in the UK. It i also my favourite mascara alongside L'oreal Volume Million Lashes - but Benefit is more towards the high end make-up brands. This mascara is great however, you do have to work the brush a lot, using the bristle designed mascara end to lift your lashes in both corners. I spend about 5 minutes coating my lashes with this mascara and once I have finished they do look great.

I know that in the blogger world this mascara will seem old but I think it will become one of those old classics. I tend to chop and change between my mascaras and this one I go periods of time without using it and then when I use it again I realise why I feel in love with it.

What are your opinions on this mascara??

F*ck Monday #7

Monday 20 February 2012

This week has been a little sad for me:

*** On Saturday morning, my Grandad passed away in hospital. It was quite sudden in the fact that he hadn't been that ill... it was only in the last 10days had he deteriorated. Still unsure what was wrong with him, seeing my Dad that upset broke my heart. The nice thing in away was that my Dad, Auntie and my Grandad's wife were all at his bedside talking to him as, he slipped away out of this world. My Dad told me that it was a peaceful process and he lived a good life and considering he smoked and drank a lot, he'd only ever been in hospital in the pass two years of his life. :)

*** My uni work has been getting on top of me - I'm currently stressing at massively... Ahhh.

This is just a quick one, because i'm still quite upset so my mind is not on my blog at the moment - Sorry guys :)

Rimmel Nail Care

Friday 17 February 2012

I am a serious nail biter but in the last year I have been trying to make a conscious effort to stop biting them. Once I had done these as they grew longer, my nails would bend and split easily. I'm never sure what nail treatments work so I tend to stick to brands which offer high street prices as I hate the thought of buying something expensive but rubbish to be honest. (Not that I think anyone particularly enjoys that).

Now as you probably know by now (if you are regular readers) that I love a bargain buy, these were on off in Boots 2 for £6 and they are RRP at £4.49 - so good deal.

The left bottle is a 5 in 1 Nail treat which is a base and top coat - I'm not really wow'd by this product and I don't see that it has made any difference to my nails. But on the plus side it does an alright job as a top coat, though it takes ages to dry.

The right bottle is a 14 day nail hardening treatment which is odd because it works amazing on my thumb nails and middle finger but no so well on the rest. :S Odd. But I am going to work at it as I do like this product it has made my thumb nails like rock.

Does anyone know of any products they could recommend??

Natural Collection Shower Gels

Thursday 16 February 2012

I'm still getting the winter blues :( I'm desperately waiting for the summer and I think yesterday was the first day in a long time that there was a glimmer of spring in the air :) These 3 shower gels from Natural Collection are a great way to start the day and they smell amazing. I have the Strawberry Cream, Mango & Papaya and the Passionfruit ones they are my favourite three. There are six flavours in the range and they are £2 for 500ml (i think, my ones are only 100ml).

I got mine in a gift set and they came with this shower gloves which I find great for lathering up the shower gel on your body whilst also giving yourself an exfoliation. Apparently these are good for reducing cellulite especially on your bum and legs - so an added bonus. I enjoy my shower times in the morning. Feels great to be woken up properly. I just wished they did a lemon flavour.

Have you tried anything out of the Natural Collection Range @ Boots?

No.7 Devils Delight Stay Perfect

Wednesday 15 February 2012

I'm not extravagant with my nails and I tend to stick to either no nail varnish or a block colour. When I was younger (about 18) I used to get acrylic nails put not all the time and I LOVED them but as I got older (yes I know I am only 22) I kinda stopped focusing on things like my nails and became a lot more money conscious. So in an attempt to keep my nails looking fab, I'm going to try and blog a lot more about nail varnish.

Myself being a cringe ball that I am, I decided to dig deep into my HUGE nail varnish collection and found a lovely valentines red... to get me in the mood (or something like that) The colour I chose was Devils Delight by No.7 at Boots which is a part of their Stay Perfect range. I think they are around £7... but the prices seem to vary. This colour needs two coats, in order for a dense saturation. And 2 days later I have found that a couple of my nails have started to chip, which is annoying because I love the colour. I even put a top coat on :-S, so I don't really have any other tricks on how to stop in chipping.

Have you tried No.7 nail polish or have any tricks on how to stop them chipping then please let me know :)

Valentines Day Lipgloss Haul

Tuesday 14 February 2012
From MalvaAlcea @ deviantart

In the spirit of Valentines Day I thought I would show you all three of my favourite lip glosses. They are all red shades because as any of my readers will know that I am a massive Marilyn fan - so red and blonde hair kinda come together :-). So girlies get pouting your lips and get smooching for valentines day. In these sexy 3 colours:

The picture has come out a lot more pink than they actually are.

Body Shops' LoveGloss for Lips in Raspberry Pink (11) RRP: £10

It's a lot redder than the name suggest but I love the wand and the consistency - not sticky either but isn't long lastings.

Bourjois 3D Effet in Framboise Tonic (08) RRP: £7.99

This is pinker than the other too, although I love the glossiness and how hard wearing it is but can be too stinky. It also is pigmented with glitter and I personally prefer a wand to a brush but still I love the colour.

Barry M Lip Gloss Wand in Limited Edition Valentines (201) RRP: £4.49

This one is probably my favourite one because it is ruby red and I think it makes my lips look fab... I prefer the wand on The Body Shop but this one smells great and feels great.

What do you girls think???

Happy Valentines Day EVERYONE.
